[showtime] With the files prepared for the 3D print of the sculpture made, the next part of the project is to translate the portrait into Maya for the Photo-real scene render set up.
There is a button in ZBrush that sends out the model, textures, and displacement maps to Maya. Unfortunately, as with most “automatic” processes in 3D software, it doesn’t really work like that and to achieve high quality you need to control the whole technical process and get into the detailed settings that are expressed in the final render.
